ACL + meniscus tear suffered in the Wake game.

He comes off the bench, but could be Pitt's best pure shooter, was fourth on the team in scoring and averaged 20 minuets per game. He had 17 against UMD.

That's a serious but manageable loss for Pitt. I do think the loss of Dorian Johnson could cost the team a few games.
Totally blows. Feels bad for the kid.

IMHO, we were a top 10-15 team with him snipping from the outside. He was really coming on.

He was one of the things that really made this team different from other Pitt teams in the past decade....multiple good shooters.
I feel your pain. I am still pissed at Jerian Grant for cheating on a test and getting kicked out of ND for the spring semester.

Sorry to hear about the Pitt player, that is a tough injury for the kid.
1.) Losing Dorian Johnson would hurt the football team much more than it would the men's basketball team. Unfortunately for the men's basketball team, we lost Durand Johnson.

Just kidding.

2.) Johnson is definitely a big loss because he is clearly our best outside shooter. That is a big deal for a team that struggles at times to rebound the basketball and which struggles to consistently get offensive production in the low post.

3.) There's no use in crying over spilled milk. You just have to take this loss and move on without him. It absolutely will cost us at some point but what can you do but grin and bear it? Nobody's going to feel sorry for us so we need to deal with the injury the same way we have in the past when guys have gone down: next man up. It's just that simple.

Yeah, mental slip there.

No crying over spilled milk, just revising expectations a little after watching this team for two months. Will be interesting to see going forward how his absence is handled. I believe Pitt is still a top 25 team, but my confidence of the damage we could do is now shaken a tad.
