I think yes. There looks like 4 possible tough road games at Cincy, at UConn, at SMU, and at Houston. Provided we can win all of our home games, we could lose two of the four games I mentioned and have a record of 15-3.

Good question. Cincy will obviously be tough for us. The other 3 will depend on whether Houston and SMU turn out to be good, or UConn turns out to be worse than we thought.
Memphis is in the drivers seat to winning the conference
here's another question...would winning the conference get us a 3 seed? let say we lose in the conference tournament final. I would think that would be good enough to get a 3 seed. what say you dudes?

Good chance that the winner of the conference is 14-4.

I think it's too early to say anyone is in the driver's seat. Lots of ball left to be played but we certainly have as good a chance as anyone at this point.

KenPom currently has Louisville and Cincy finishing 14-4 with us at 13-5. It's on us to prove that projection wrong.

15-3 and winning the conference is at least a 3. No way it's lower than that

15-3 and win the tourney is borderline 1 territory...
The old Metro was very competitive and this is a very similar conference situation. I am going back to my old days at THE TIGER RAG as a sports writer. The rule of thumb to win the Metro Conference was to win all your home games and at least half of your away games (winning at Louisville, Cincy, SMU, Houston, UCF, U Conn, Temple, etc is NOT that easy). So, that being said, I would think it would be possible to lose as many as 4 or 5 conference games and still win the conference. Then we are also positioned well and have the extra option of winning the conference tournament in Memphis.

I think a 3 and best case a 2. Now 16-2 and winning the conference should get us a 2.
And yet I could see 13-5 winning the conference. There's much more parity than I expected.

We could lose to Cincy twice, SMU and Houston on the road, and maybe UConn there. It would not surprise me to see other teams lose just as many.

I would like to see 17-1 win it.

I would like to see us win it at 17-1.

I'm okay with that.
