I would look into Clark and Gran from your list. I think Stoops, Morris and Tressel are too expensive. Maybe Bobo too. Shannon never impressed me at Miami. Rocker hasn't even been a coordinator anywhere yet, although that doesn't seem to be hurting Curtis Johnson at Tulane.
I won't be creating or suggesting any candidates, since apparently one of Mackin's prerequisites in a coach is someone no one has thought or heard of. The more names we throw out there, the more we reduce Mackin's pool of candidates. 03-lmfao

1. Yeah those guys may be too expensive but you don't know until you ask.
2. Shannon big mistake was not being able to get the right oc but access to South Florida recruits would be a big plus.

No I misread that, which is why I deleted my post. The APR issues stem from their basketball team apparently.

Leavitt hit a walk in during halftime in the locker room. He then got players and coaches to lie about it. Hence his extended absence from college coaching
Just a thought, but I also think it could be good to have someone leading the program who was once a part of it. And I don't even mean just as a coach. I mean a former player who believed in this program and committed 4 years (or however many years) to the program. They would understand the challenges and be most likely to have the belief in the program that would have the persistence and determination to help build the foundation of the program.

So the question is, do we know of any former players that are in coaching somewhere that could even be considered?
Someone had mentioned Darrell Hackney. He's at Savannah State as a QB coach.

Why do you need a thread just for your own list? Aren't there plenty of other appropriate threads for you to share this in?

Clark is pulling $175K at Just Show Up.

We could offer something that was both a profound salary bump for him and a relative bargain for us.

I think both he and Joey Jones (and others) would use any UAB interest as a pretense for a salary renegotiation...

Thanks for posting those salaries, very interesting. Clark is already the 3rd highest paid coach in the OVC.........doubt if they would bump him too much higher (maybe to 225-250?).
