Any Ideas?

Tyrone Nix
John Thompson
Josh Nibblet
Rick Neuheisel
John Neal.
If McGee's really gone, Rhett Lashlee if you can get him.
Lane Kiffin (j/k)
We will end up with a high school coach or rescue one from the retirement home, no up and coming coach is going to repeat McGee's mistake.

Maybe it was UAB's mistake.

He was just announced as WKU's head coach.
Ed Orgeron? I put a question mark because I'm not sure how I feel about it myself, and I'm not sure he'd want it. I know things didn't go swimmingly at Ole Miss, but he turned USC's season around this year. It's clear the USC players would run through a brick wall for him, and many stated how upset they were about him being overlooked for the full-time gig there. He chose not to stay at USC because he wanted to be a head coach. Maybe he wants it badly enough to take on the biggest project imaginable? He still has recruiting ties in the Southeast from his Ole Miss/Tennessee days.
I would suggest Towson's head coach, but it might be hard to pull him away from his alma mater.
Rhett and Gus seem to be attached at the hip.

That said, I've always thought if we went with an unconventional yet strong rushing attack like Auburn had this season, we would have been a strong contender in C-USA.

Maybe a certain coach's 'offensive genius' got in the way of winning?

I would not object to Orgeron.
I like Tyrone Nix as a candidate. I think we should bring in someone with a defensive backround.
Tyson Summers had a solid performance in UCF's BCS win.
