From the article:

The 2014-2015 bowl season is going to have a lot fewer apostrophes.
That's according to ESPN, which reported Tuesday that Florida-based sports grill chain Beef 'O' Brady's will not renew its title sponsorship with its eponymous St. Petersburg, Fla.-based bowl game, originally known as the MagicJack St. Petersburg Bowl.

The company took over the game's corporate sponsorship from MagicJack in 2009 and renewed its deal for three more seasons in 2011. The bowl is owned by ESPN.

The game has become somewhat notable -- on the Internet, anyway -- for the eccentric punctuation of "Beef 'O' Brady's" and its baseball-centric Tropicana Field setting. Though the game's principal tie-ins belong to the American and Conference USA, shortages of bowl-eligible teams have led the bowl to invite either a Sun Belt or MAC representative each of the past three seasons.

Good that sponsorship was a joke. With the bowl having an ACC team half the time it's at least going to be slightly better going forward.
I enjoyed going to that bowl game...I have family in Tampa and you can't beat Florida in December.
The Bowl Game isn't going away...just needs a new sponsor...I do wonder if it will change the payout.
Aresco needs to get on the phone, and pull up some old contacts.

a potential Raymond James Bowl sounds better than the BoB bowl. Hope we can get a more prestigious payout
Tropicana Bowl sounds good.

Somebody (Bleeds_Purple) I believe posted a random post on an ECU board that said this a few wks ago..... also said it would be with ACC. I took that to mean (revised to) exclusively with ACC but never got a response to my question.

I thought it was originally announced that in the years it was against the ACC it would be after Christmas and in C-USA years it would be before. Can't remember for sure it's been a while since that was announced.

I think that may be correct. I'll try to find out

That is the way I remember it being explained. The ACC would not accept a pre-Christmas date.
Hooter's Bowl since the chain was founded in nearby Clearwater.

All cheer leaders must wear the Hooters uniform, right?
I can see why the sponsor wants to get out of this bowl. 20,000. In attendance. East Carolina does not travel well and brings few fans to this bowl and the New Orleans Bowl last year. Ohio University, I never heard of this school.

Why does it seem like new trolls are coming out of the woodwork these days

Is "MagicJack" more to your liking?

We did not travel well to either bowl? This is news to me. I'm pretty sure that we had at least 5K at both events... which for a smallish bowl game is pretty good (especially one that's just days before Christmas).

If the check clears, sure...
