I can see it now...
"Darrin Reaves...Alabama-Birmingham."
Seriously though, he's a UAB legacy player. And his little brother is still a receiver on our team...so there's more Reaves going through the pipeline. Great family, great kid...excited for him.
Nobody can blame Darrin for chasing his dream. Best of luck to him !
Go for it, Mr. Reaves. Thank you for playing your heart out for UAB. Hope your name is called early and that your NFL career is immediate & impacting.
the position (RB) has become so diminished that only a few can merit being drafted in the first 2 rounds any more. If a RB has a shot at round 4/5 he's probably not going to improve his status by waiting a year.
Thank you Darrin for representing our university so well. Wherever you go will give me one more pro team to follow
I'm exited for him. I will be tuning in to the draft.

Why are you leaving though?
Doing his Dez Bryant impersonation.
I'm not leaving. I was typing with my phone and made a mistake. Thanks for caring though.
Good Luck to Darrin! I hope he does well.
Whenever a player leaves early, there are always some doubters who wish he had stayed another year. I recall Rod Brooks who left early, got a contract from the Colts and then was later found to have a neck condition that ended his football career. Had that neck condition been found through injury while at UAB, the NFL would never have been in his picture. Life is always a "crap shoot" with future events and circumstances coming into play in unforeseen ways. Good luck to DR and best wishes for a long and satisfying career.
Robert Vaden approves this move:

,,,it won't hurt UAB recruiting
