Sure has taken its time getting here. I shoveled about 6" of snow this evening. Looks like we're in a little break now, but there appears to be another cell coming in from Indiana soon. I thought we were supposed to be in the arctic blast by now (1:00a). It's still 20 degrees and the wind is only 6 mph.
How about that storm that rolled through the MAC bowl season…

0-5.
Yeah, bet the MAC office now wishes they had pushed for CMU to get a bowl. For sure they could have won a game...

Could not be happier it turned out this way, especially for OU and UB.
The MAC is bad!!! BSU losing to a 7-5 SunBelt team is the icing on the cake.
Back to the weather - SIU's men's team was stuck on I-57 for more than 5 hours trying to get back to Carbondale after losing at Illinois State.

We were supposed to get 8-15 inches here and got only rain. 04-jawdrop Don't know how they can mess up the weather forecast that badly. LOL

0 and 6 in bowl games. must be worst conference in football. glad toledo not in bowl game.
Ok, how the f*** does a thread about a SNOW STORM turn into a MAC bowl thread?!? 04-jawdrop
Sure turned out to be a bunch of nothing given all the talk.
I don't know about your burbs but my end of the city is sitting in at least 8 inches and the temp is hovering around zero.

I see it as mold on the bread

I live in Chesterland, in the snow belt east of Cleveland. Storm was a TOTAL bust. Had a foot of snow on the ground yesterday, then it rained like hell for several hours. Got ZERO snow, even though they kept saying we were going to get slammed. LOL We did get the cold, however.

Rain followed by freezing? Ouch. Yesterday's snow was a mess to shovel but the stuff that came over night was dry and easy to push around.

One thing I do like about a "freeze" like this, the sky is as blue as I've ever seen. I went down to the river and took a peak towards downtown and it was a nice picture, if I'd had a camera.

That's unreal that you guys got rain on the east side! I thought the rain was staying toward the south. Did it melt the snow you had, or just make a big icy mess?

How do you know I wasn't referring to the Bowl season? 03-wink Not that it wasn't bad but after hearing words like "Armageddon" bandied about for days it seems like a nasty storm we'll forget in a few days.

Not where I'm sitting. People freezing their petuties off. The side roads are a complete bottleneck. City did a GREAT job of getting the main roads working. Locals working on getting others out. I hear P-Burg is a mess too.

The blessing maybe is that the snow, the temperatures and the wind came in shifts instead of at the same time. I could not possibly have done this much shoveling with the temperature as it is now.
-9 degrees. The house is making creaking noises: I think it's shrinking.
-17 at my house at 6:30 PM.

We lost about half the snow cover we had. Wish it had been snow. We would be totally buried. I like that!!
