For those who watch the car show Top Gear (England) you will know who the Stig was. After several years appearing anonymously as the Stig, they finally took off the helmet and it turns out it was Michael Schumacher, 7 time F1 champion.

Well sadly it has been reported he is in critical condition after a skiing accident in France.

Probably one of the best F1 drivers to strap on one of those rockets.
Would like to have seen Schumacher win his 100th race driving for Mercedes-Benz but then 91 life time wins and 7 time F1 Champion is pretty good.
Hope he pulls out of this ok.

After an operation late Monday night to remove a large hematoma he is showing a slight improvement. Link to latest update:

I hope he comes out of this ok also. I think the Stig has been several people. Schumacher was revealed as the Stig on one of the Top Gear shows. I think he was the only one that could drive the car that was featured. I think it was Ferrari.

Hope he will recover - he was a helluva F! driver and a legend as the Stig.

Schumacher in stable but still critical condition 3 days after operation to relieve pressure on the brain. Still in medical induced coma.

Top Gear is a great show for any that haven't seen it. I'm not even a car guy and it never fails to entertain me.
