I want to get rid of my YMCA membership but the pool is the only thing keeping me there.

Anyone know of any gyms where you can do a pool-only membership? I live in Cordova but would be willing to drive for the right savings.

Or where I could go to a pool for a "cheap" price?

you are looking for something cheaper than the Y? how much is the Y?
My friend, who is a graduate of Rhodes, has the best deal in town for just a pool membership in the Rhodes pool. Now, I am not sure if a non-alum can get that deal.

You can also get pool privileges as a U of Memphis alum in one of the U of Memphis pools.

the way I read that chart is that IF you have a degree from the UofM and pay $30 per month you are member ($60 for family) and that you must sign up for at least 3 months. So for $90 ($180 for family) you could join for the summer. (mostly) *

The Y is $76/month. The only advantage it has *for me* over the ATC's of the world is the pool. I don't use the group fitness, childcare, etc that makes it worthwhile. ATC, YouFit, etc is 20-30/month for 2 people (wife included).

The Cordova one cost me $85 per month. When it was Cordova Athletic Club it was awesome, not so much as a Y. Also, if you don't give them 30 days notice about quitting they stick you with an extra month. Not a fan.
don't change in the locker room at the Y
you've been warned.

you're welcome

Best price in Knoxville seems to be the local Jewish community center. Maybe check on places like that in and around Memphis. Pretty much just a pool and some restrooms. No frills.
Been a member of bushwood for years. Great pool... Usually very clean and hygienic with the exception of an incident during caddy day a few years back.

The Memphis JC is one of the nicest in the city - no frills isn't the phrase I'd use to describe it.

Good suggestion though

The landscaping is kinda bare. The missing mums makes it look kinda cheap. I heard it was "For Sale".

They have a pool and a pond. The pond would be good for you.

Do you have to be circumcised?
