So how do you think we'll do? .500 in conference or better?
.750 is my expectation

I have only seen them play about 3 times but they will do very well in MAC play..

I think the starting rough OOC schedule will only make then better.. They must rebound better and make the one extra pass, Rotate the ball to the open guy..
No big injuries as of yet. Though I have not heard anything about Ajayi. Anyone?

Ward, Talley, and Lee look as if they can take over a game at anytime. Must get them synced. And that doesn't include the size advantage up front. If emu can get scoring from Riley it'd be gravy.
I'm gonna be bold and say 12-4, with losses @Toledo, @Akron, @Buffalo, and then a game we shouldn't lose (like @WMU or @BGSU). This team has all the potential to win the MAC. We'll see if it comes to fruition.

I don't really think we need scoring from Riley. If he plays like he did against Oakland and UMass, and shores up the TOs, he might end up on one of the all-MAC teams. This is the best he's looked since he's been here. Taking good shots, making free throws, and blocking everything in sight. I've been impressed with him this year. He impacts the game significantly without needing to score 15-20 points a game.
How young/old is our team? Should we be able to expect more next year or what?

I have come to terms with Riley never becoming an offensive force. When he's focused, his defense alone is all we need. It reminds me of Theron Wilson very early in his career. He had no offensive game whatsoever but he was a terror on defense. Wilson eventually developed into a serviceable offensive threat and I was hoping for the same with Riley but...that train has left the station. If he does the little things on offense and dominates on D, we will be fine.

We have 5 seniors, but a large chunk of our core will be back next year, including Ward, Lee, Talley, and Combs. Plus Jodan Price, a transfer from DePaul, will be eligible. We'll miss Bryant and Riley, but we should still be a good, competitive team.

.500 will have fans jumping off of bridges.

I'll guess .667.

If we have an 18 game schedule then: 12 - 6.

If it is 16 games then 11 - 5

providing the staff recruits a few big men
Which they will.
Re Riley: remember when I wrote any scoring would be gravy? Yeah, I know he's not an offensive big man.

Either way, MAC east championship should be a possible goal.

Very realistic with this group. We would be favorites against just about every MAC team on a neutral court.

MAC West would be a better possibility. 03-wink

I think EMU can be a beast in MAC play and am hoping for big things from them in conference play this season.
