We had a lot of fun bad-mouthing Dickey while he was at ASU, but he has done a really good job of turning around the SEMO program. I think they won 3 games the year before he took over, and they are already 7-3 this season, with wins over Texas State and Tulane. Not a tough schedule, but they have gotten back on the winning track. They shoot exceptionally well, and contrary to Dickie's old ASU teams, playing good defense and rebounding. His son, Lucas, appears to be a really good point guard.
The spirit of Dickey lives in Little Rock at this point.
I never thought much of Dickie as a floor coach, but he did know a shooter when he saw one. He always had a couple of guards that could shoot lights out.

No excuse for not getting SEMO here for a home and home. You know Dickie would love to come home to play in Little Rock. We should also be working on UCA for next season. Those two games would attract as much local interest as just about anyone we could conceivably bring in. Loyola-Chicago would be nice, if Porter still considers Steve his buddy. We need to get back to playing home and homes, and the first 2 seem like no-brainers. Very winnable games which would bring in some extra fans.
