Has anyone heard anything about what the players think of their new coach?

Tyreese Russell and Lincoln Hansen spoke to the media briefly yesterday, and both had positive things to say about Creighton. From what I can see from other players on Twitter, they're happy to have him.

Interestingly, Lincoln Hansen was recruited by Creighton to play at Drake before he committed to EMU. He shared that he was already familiar with Creighton.

Are you sure? He would have gone to Drake, play in the Pioneer Conference, without a scholarship?

Yep, Lincoln said as much yesterday. Our best lineman (3rd team all MAC) was almost a non-scholarship player. I guess you just never know with some guys.

Granted Drake is an excellent private school but man, he would have tore up that league.

Hansen was also offered a walk on spot at Nebraska. So not surprised he'd consider a non scholarship spot at Drake.

Exactly. He was offered a preferred walk on spot at Nebraska.

He opted to go with the money (scholarship).

If players are unhappy, I would think we will see players not return back to school after the Christmas break.. Again, now that I am thinking about it, nobody would probably leave until probably spring-football if they leave..
