@jeffborzello Hearing Memphis, Nebraska & Oregon are among the schools that have shown interest in former Georgetown F Greg Whittington. Would guess Robert Kirby is why we have interest in him?
All the Dudes from G.T. tell me this DUDE can ball and bring it!!!!!
What say ye Tigercane? Unless we get it from him or Wilbur, it just hearsay.
Memphis would be top notch for sure with this guy.

We look good against those schools
hell be one and done. I don't want the APR hit.

I don't believe one hit to the APR would do us any harm. If that school up north of us can handle a few, I'm sure we'll be OK with one.
Averaged 12 and 7 last year. I'd take 7 rebounds a game regardless of a slight hit to APR.
Academically ineligible.
Interesting. He certainly put up solid numbers playing in the Big East. We can always use a rebounder with the ability to score.

Why would this be a hit to our APR? I figured as long as he leaves here in good academic standing for a professional career or with a degree it would not have a negative effect.
Was there ever any scoop on why he was kicked off the team? I know he was academically ineligible, but he could have worked toward reinstatement, right?
Nebraska supposedly in the lead ...

Quote:There is a tie with both Memphis and Nebraska -- both programs have former Georgetown assistants on staff.
Interesting
In Nebraska basketball is just something to do until the start of spring football. I'm not sure they know that you play with a round ball.

Wow! How disgusting would it be to lose out to Nebraska on a basketball recruit?
Maybe that just means he knows he can start from day one there as opposed to memphis

Kentucky can take care of that
Kinda cold to dismiss an injured player. I too wonder what he did to deserve that.
