I know we still have a bowl game to play but I wanted to hear your opinions about this team going forward into next season.

With Kay leaving who is the starting QB next season? If Munchie gets an extra year is it him or is it between Kiel and Coney?

What type of offense will we run? Is the consensuses that we stick with what has worked? Or does a new QB mean a new system? RB by committee again or will there be a clear RB starter?

Who replaces Blair? In terms of productivity and leadership? I wouldn't be surprised if it is Nick Temple but that is just a guess.

How will we draw at PBS?

That's all I got, hope everyone enjoys their holiday. I'd love to ring in the New Year as back to back Belk Bowl champs. 04-cheers

This one worries me. I know I will try it at least once (probably between 2-4 times), but I just don't know ow motivated I will be to make the long drive down just for the game without being on campus.
Kiel has looked lackluster in the practices ive eatched this year, so if its him i worry that theyll move back into a pro-style set, which then forces the largest question to be who plays RB, which i think will end up being Hosey and Ti'on. If you watch, nearly every game when they need solid runs, thats who they rely on, not RDA4 (Case in point the 3rd and most of the 4th quarter against UL when we actually started moving the ball on the ground). Luc will move inside, he's a natural MLB and it shows. Corey Mason and the transfer from Northwestern will battle it out with Sol Tentman for the OLB position vacated by Luc.

I think by far the biggest questions are Ti'on Green's progression and our CB depth. If Ti'on can better his passing down skill set (blocking and route running) there's no reason why he shouldn't be our #1 guy coming into next season, he's obviously the most talented RB we have as a pure runner. Our CB's have next to nothing behind Payne and Wilder if Orr does in fact not rejoin the team after his injury heals. We are set at Safety for the next 3 years with Tyson and Edwards, players who both look like they could be stars, so I'm not worried about that nearly as much.
I hope Kiel can win the starting job otherwise we may be in trouble at QB. He's a former 5 star recruit (I believe) so the potential talent is there but obviously he'll need to prove it during camp and on the field.

The jury is still out on the type of offense UC will run. I would like to see Tion Green become the featured back due to his size with Williams and RDA4 used to spell him/situational.

We remain loaded at the wideouts and McKay should continue to develop into a stud receiver.

I agree with Temple but I can see Mouhon and Edwards also being major talents, leaders and productive next year. Mouhon will be a junior and Edwards only a sophomore.

You didn't mention the kicking game.....Yikes!
I don't think Tuberville will be afraid to go the Juco route if he needs to add depth anywhere. We'll see during recruiting. His Jucos have been pretty productive this year.
Was it ever officially announced that Trenier Orr has left the team? TT had said he was coming back to play in november after he healed up from the Illinois game injury. Seems odd because he was one of the stars of summer camp that the coaching staff talked up quite a bit.
DT is my biggest concern next year

I think it is hard to really get anything from what you see from the scout team QB. Those guys are throwing to other scout team players, have scout team guys blocking, and are told to throw the ball even if no one is open, just so the first team can see what the play is supposed to look like.

I'd imagine Gantz at PK and Geraci at P are the future. Both are freshmen. I have not heard how either compare to what we have now.
Yes. I am worried about a lot of empty seats next year, but then, the size of the crowds this year surprised me. I heard from a good source that season ticket holders from this year will get club seats at Paul Brown next year at the same price they paid this year.

As much as I love and prefer Nippert there are a number of fans who stay away because of its awful concourses, restrooms, and concessions. These are the same types that the Nippert renovation is supposed be geared towards. Those people will love the modern amenities of PBS. Our schedule sucks so well lose a chunk of the people who came this year, which is hopefully made up by the people who avoid Nippert. I'm optimistic with the worse schedule but better amenities we can draw a similar number. The atmosphere of a less than half empty PBS won't be fun though.

I agree. I see attendance being greater than 35,000. I think more people will enjoy PBS, because of parking, larger stadium/space to move. People feel inconvenienced at Nipp and parking is challenging.
Beat O$U early and that place will be packed the rest of the year.

Really not all that hard to find parking at Nippert, IMO. Plenty of on-street spots around the campus area. You MAY have to walk a bit, but nothing is insurmountable.

Problem is, from many (too many) people's perspectives, the most minor inconveniences seem to be.

Not sure why UC can't implement a park-and-ride type of situation, where they would strike an agreement with the closest shopping center, to lease some parking on game night, and shuttle people in. Maybe I am Captain Obvious here and UC has already examined that, but for whatever reason, it has not worked out.
Don't they already do the park and ride from the lot by the hospital on MLK and/or the Eden garage? I know Mecklenburg's does something similar as well for patrons at the restaurant prior to the game.
If they do that already, then why so many complaints? When going to the OU game in Norman, I parked at the Lloyd Noble Center, and bussed to the stadium. Really, how hard is that to do???
As far as on the field, two biggest issues are QB and defensive line (specifically DT). These are the last two things I want to have issues with.

Need Pace and Mitchell to step up next year. Also have JC DT Allonce coming in next year. Less concerned about DE with Mouhon, Harrah, Hartsfield and Jordan.
I like the pro-style offense, but I would like to see them blend it a bit more with the spread. Butch did this well with the help of a great feature backs. RDAIV always looked great cause he added a wrinkle to the scheme. Both Williams and Green look lost running, and I feel like they miss holes.

I have high hopes for Kiel, and hope he can win the job, it would be great to have the same starting QB for 2 or 3 years. I have never liked Munchie, and it was obvious again this year he is not a good passer.

That being said, we can look at this year as a disappointment, but I like the staff in place. This was a much better transition year than Jones or BK had. I look forward to winning 10+ games for the foreseeable future.

Think Chris Burton was switched to DT from TE so he'll be in the mix as well.
