The current president at WVU is leaving Morgantown to take the same position at Clemson. Former Ohio St. president, Gordon Gee, who retired after some of his remarks about Catholics and the SEC among other things were made public, will be serving as the interim president at WVU.

WVU will now be turning its attention towards finding a permanent replacement. I have no idea whether Dr. Noland would have interest in returning to West Virginia or if WVU would have interest in him but given his previous position in West Virginia wonder if his name will not at least be one that comes up during the search.
