1.Not much of a crowd. 1aa championship has better attendance

2. Clausen rumored to wfu
WFU? Wake Forest?
We would get absolutely crushed by either of these teams. They are so much stronger and more physical up front it's ridiculous.

If we were playing one of these teams, we would be recruiting much stronger and more physical guys up front.

Even with FCS recruits, we outplayed and should have beat a middle-of-the-pack MAC team in Akron. Akron lost to NIU by only 7. Akron lost to BGSU by 17 though. Akron was playing away from home on both occasions. Of course, our game was a home game for them.

The difference is apparent, but I would not say "absolutely crushed" though.

I didn't see the game tonight but I have seen NIU a couple of times this year. They may be stronger and more physical on the lines than us, but it's not because they are bigger.

NIU O-line starters are 6'4 295 . Our starters are 6'4 299.
NIU D-line starters are 6'1.5 260. Ours are 6'2.5" 270. ( 265 lbs if Harold starts instead of Lee)

If we're not as physical and strong as NIU it's either mental or our strength coach doesn't measure up.
Ok reality check. NIU beats JMU by 30, or more. Overanalyze all you want.

No question. And they should. Their QB would demolish us.

I wouldnt say that , that Qb is not very fast and the rb's are not either. He looks like a poor man's Tim Tebow. The MAC is pretty bad.
Well, we may get our chance to find out fairly soon!

If the CAA were to have a championship, would it look better? Maine vs. Towson at a Rust Belt neutral site -- let's say Buffalo. Is the MAC ideal? No. But it still beats the CAA.
Bowling Green's win also removes any chance for a non-BCS conference school appearing in a BCS bowl, and takes away any possibility that Jordan Lynch gets invited to the Heisman ceremony. Not a bad evening's work for them.
Clausen's stock went way up last night. Who is WFU? Wake Forest? He can do better then there but it is a good fit for Wake.
Wonder how much money BG cost themselves with that win.

Last year all the MAC schools got $800,000 each after paying NIU's trip expenses and leaving them a little extra

21,000 same - same attendance as last year's FCS Championship between Sam Houston and NDSU.

That is a cruel irony isn't it.

I'm sorry, but I wouldn't expect JMU to roll over in a similar situation. Everyone complained that Southern Miss beat Houston back in 2011 and cost them a BCS bowl appearance and their conference millions of dollars.
I say F that, it's about pride and winning. If the undefeated team was "meant to win", they would have.
While I realize some folks will never stop bitching about weeknight games if JMU ends up in the MAC (or SB for that matter), gotta say it's pretty obvious the MAC really gets it with scheduling and tv compared to CUSA. As usual, their big game last night was an 8 p.m. game, on ESPN, and facing little competition. CUSA's championship is buried at noon today against Bedlam and the regular slate.
Agree completely. I know I watched that game last night.
You are delusional if u think JMU (at the end of the season) would have any chance against either of these teams....With a good coach, we could probably hang (i.e. how EIU almost beat NIU earlier this year) around and keep it close.
