Can you imagine what the Liberty Bowl would be like if we could ever do what Boise State, Louisville, Cincinnati, Northern Illinois and UCF have been able to do?

Can you image what it would be like if we got on a roll and won 10 games for 2 or 3 straight seasons? If we won confernce championships? If we were ranked in the Top 20 for six or seven straight weeks? If we started a season 8-0?

We have never come close to these things, but they are possible. This town would go crazy and the Liberty Bowl would be packed.
No doubt.

We have been secret gold mine for years in football.

Think of the revenue it could give us for basketball........
I'm excited for next year. Looking at the depth chart, we only lose two starters on offense (maybe one if Hayes gets a 6th year) and two I think on defense.
I'll be surprised if we don't win 6 games next year.

There should be a noticable jump after so many tigercubs got big minutes this year.

This
The non-conference will be tough @UCLA and @OM. The Raiders will be down next year and the game will be in Memphis.

Anyone know who we play in conference next year?

I think 6 wins is reasonable for next year. If you would have told me two years ago that we'd be bowl eligible in 3 years, I would have been ecstatic.
Schedule should be about the same.

We drop UL and Duke, but pick up road games against UCLA and olemiss.

Realistically, go 2-2 OOC and go 4-4 in conference and you're 6-6 and bowling.

They haven't announce it yet. UL and Rutgers will be gone. Tulane, ECU and Tulsa will be coming in. We'll have 8 games against this pool of opponents:

Cincy
ECU
Houston
SMU
Temple
Tulane
Tulsa
UCF
UConn
USF
It will be better, I have no doubt.

There is tangible evidence based on a tweet I read yesterday that this year's attendance for Tigers football was the best since 2007.

That's progress.

Better home games next year will only increase that.

I love it, this needs to be our thought process. We can do it though it will be a tough road.

And I believe we have some pretty good players coming off their red shirt year
Sky is the limit. Name the most prominent schools that have great football & basketball? My point is that there are not as many as you think!

Yes, we could be right there with them.... 02-13-banana

Yes, a very short list.
Ohio State, Florida, Notre Dame, UCLA, Michigan, Louisville

Duke? That's just doesn't look right.

I wonder if Aresco and the AD's will decide to start creating the divisional feel next season, eventhough Navy will not be in the AAC. By that I mean they might decide to:
1) FIRST...pair future division opponents against each other, then fill in the rest of the schedule.
2) SECOND...try to avoid a team going to the same opponent two straight years.

So, presuming MEMPHIS is in the west division in 2015, this could be the AAC schedule in 2014 (future west division opponents bolded):
Home - Houston, Tulsa, South Florida, Connecticut
Away - SMU, Tulane, Temple, UCF

The road trips to Dallas and New Orleans are definitely doable. I already plan to go out to Pasadena for that UCLA game.

If this was true I would predict a 6-7 win season
