I have a whole lot to be thankful for, as always. I hope all of you get the opportunity to take a deep breath, chill a little and reflect on what we have to be thankful for.
G Man, Chatter......miss you knuckleheads.
Well said beck.

With respect, I bet they both would fondly recall this:

This Thanksgiving, the HOF is sending you off on your holiday weekend with a new appreciation for the winged beasts you are about to cook and devour with your loved ones. Turkeys are long-suffering, turkeys are dangerous, turkeys are full of secrets. They love, they laugh, they lay the smack down. Enjoy yours tomorrow conscientiously and with gratitude, and have a happy Thanksgiving!

Charles P. Pierce: Talented actors will labor their entire careers just to read a line as perfectly as Gordon Jump reads, "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." And 30-odd years later, a million Facebook posts are born every fourth week of November. Outside of The Mary Tyler Moore Show’s "Chuckles Bites the Dust," this is the single most indelible sitcom episode of the second half of the 20th century, and Seinfeld me no Seinfelds. But we should not let Jump's genius blind us to Richard Sanders's quintessential performance as Les Nessman. From getting rousted by the shoe store guy, to his blow-by-blow of the disaster itself ("The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement"), to the dazed coda he puts on the whole business ("It gets pretty strange after that … It was almost like they were … organized"), it's clear he earned every damned one of those Buckeye Newshawk Awards.

i know it's pointless now that thanksgiving was yesterday, but it'd like to give it a shot.

first off, i'd like to thank my lovely wife maria for taking a chance on an old has been like me. according to the mad libs we created for our wedding guests, she is my lettuce. i've traveled with the woman now in five countries and i am convinced she has no fear. if a situation's dicey, i let her handle it and don't feel guilty. maybe another man would. by a dicey situation i mean paying for my bar tab. just kidding

my mother and her husbands. without their constant rearing we never would have gotten that big payday. helluva lawsuit. just kidding. her second husband was like a father to me. i still call him dad. her current boyfriend is a kentucky fan but he acknowledges they have a payroll.

my books. for showing me that i am god, creator of fantastic sentences. for showing me that ideas and imagination are only as creative as the boundaries the thinker sets for hisself.

alcohol. for help getting to the crux.

my friends. without them the world would just be a map on the wall

hallucinogens

here's some of me and the lady
