Here is ESPN's take:

GoDaddy: Northern Illinois vs. Western Kentucky
Compass Bowl : East Carolina vs. Troy
AdVoCare Bowl: Boston College vs. Arkansas St.
New Orleans Bowl: Tulane vs. Louisiana

So far both projections I have seen have 4 SBC teams in bowls.
Other than UL. That's some tough match ups
I'd enjoy smoking whatever those guys are smoking.
I think I would swap the stAte and WKU teams around, or maybe throw Texas St. In the mix somewhere. Looks like some good matches overall though. Now how about predictions on this scenario. I'll take NIU, Troy, stAte, and ULL.

Don't see NIIU accepting the Go Daddy Bowl. As long as they remain undefeated, they will be sent somewhere else.

Sounds good to me! I think that it would make more since for WKU and UL to switch in this scenario, but I really hope that A-State gets the Indy Bowl as they project. That would be awesome!
Seems to me after the BCS and two or three deep in each AQ league that they just start throwing names around and don't really shoot for the sort of accuracy that everyone strives for in basketball bracketology.

If Go Daddy has the first pick from the MAC, as they always have, they won't have a choice. They are contractually obligated just as the Cajuns will be contractually obligated to go to New Orleans.

Memo: The Huskies moved up to 14th, at the expense of the 16th-ranked Fresno State Bulldogs. That would mean Northern Illinois gets into the BCS as the highest-ranked non-AQ school, as long as UCF finishes outside the top 16.

NIU moved up in the polls, they are not heading to the Go Daddy.
Please explain how they will get out of it other than a BCS Bowl. What happens if a team refuses to accept a bowl invite when that bowl has the first pick from their conference?
Happens all the time. Conference calls the bowl and they work something out. Couple years ago New Orleans released UTEP so they could play in the New Mexico Bowl. Last year the Godaddy had agreed to release AState and take MTSU if the Liberty would take AState.

Contract only matters if the parties don't agree.

No Bowl offered $100,000 to Go Daddy to release NIU according to several sources close to UL.

Not logical in this situation. Why would Go Daddy release a top 20 team? It would have to benefit Go Daddy for them to release NIU.

It would probably take more than that and would probably have to include the first pick from the Sun Belt next year. It would be nice if they could work out some kind of deal. NOB is a much better venue and destination.

The CUSA team would need to be intriguing. Lets say that the CUSA team is an ECU type that could draw well, I could see Go daddy agreeing to dump NIU because the Huskies wont travel.

Its certainly possible, but I think in the end NIU would prefer a matchup with a 5 loss Boise State over ULL.

Getting permission to pick 1st next year would probably get the deal done. Go Daddy is annoyed with New Orleans going off the reservation and taking a team before the champ was decided last year. Giving them the option to return the favor would be well worth giving up NIU to them.

wouldnt make much sense matching a #16-17 against a 30-50 team..

I like the matchup as far as competition goes all the games would be competive. I think Troy would score a lot of points and with the lay off they might get the defense together. Think WKU could control the ball with Andrews. The teams that I watched NIU play ran out of gas because they were trying to score as fast as NIU. A-State is peeking and well the Cajuns would be out to prove a point to Tulane. We'll see still got a lot of football to play,
Just to clarify, Little Caesars Bowl has first pick of the MAC this season.

“In conjunction with the Mid-American Conference and the GoDaddy.com Bowl, we responded to an historic opportunity for our longtime affiliate conference and deferred the first MAC Conference selection for this year, in exchange for having the first MAC selection in 2013,” said CEO & Executive Director Ken Hoffman. “This move allows a nationally-ranked MAC Division Champion to face the Sun Belt Conference Champion in this bowl season. Further, we are pleased to welcome Central Michigan and Western Kentucky to the 2012 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. Our history of success with CMU and the enthusiasm of WKU, in its first bowl experience, give us confidence that the bowl will be a highly competitive game with two excited fan bases.”

I hate bowl talk when we are not even bowl eligible......won't be unless we beat Tx St and then we are 6-6......don't like it but hey a bowl is a bowl when you were kind of use to them then none.......plus whod a thunk a Belt team would ever go at 6-6......but nothing and I mean nothing is in writing and won't matter to us but it will to Tx St.....if we lose to them on what will be a home game but not a good crowd.
