Amazing how much one game can help things.

First thing, Isler is averaging 4 fouls per game. We need him in the game more, especially early on.

Second thing, we are shooting 76% from the line as a team.

One game back, and Ben Dillard is 3rd on the team in scoring average, and hasn't made a field goal yet.

Our opponents' 3PT% is down to 31.4%. That is more like the old Trojans.

We are still -2 on rebounding, but I think we can live with that if we do some other things right.
Every healthy player has played in every game. I still say Shields needs to tight up his rotation some. Still, our top five are averaging 32, 26, 26, 24, 21.

In this respect, I think he's doing what Foley is doing right now. Playing a lot of people to get them game experience to get ready for conference and tournament play. Hopefully it will pay off big down the line.04-cheers

BD still hasn't taken a shot. Maybe his release is too slow for him to get many open looks, but we need him to at least be somewhat of a threat to shoot from outside to take pressure off WN.
I figure Ben starts to shoot next game. He probably was coming out slow last night because of the layoff. Nothing wrong with his FT shooting, though.

Seems to me that getting BD to shoot more has been an ongoing problem for Steve. Glass half full: BD knows his limitations, such as slow release, and wants to take only great shots leading to good percentage but not so good scoring?
Ben is a smart ballplayer, so what you say probably has some truth in it. He knows his role on this team, and that won't be to lead the team in scoring. However, Tucker said that the last couple of games Will has been being double-teamed consistently, so there should be some other guys open, and Ben is a good candidate.
