Yeah, no MAC player will ever get by the bias....unless an absurd amount of things go wrong for premier players from premier programs....that WOULD be too bad, wouldn't it?
I like the new definition of the Heisman trophy, it's more accurate. I mean, Lynch could throw for 6000 yards with 40 TDs and no interceptions and he wouldn't win it.
Yep, in today's world, Jay Berwanger wouldn't even be in the conversation.

After the game ended Wednesday night, I was inspired to look up the Heisman Trophy mission statement. I was pleasantly surprised how well it fit JL for 6 (outstanding ... excellence ... perseverance ... hard work ... integrity) and how some of the so-called front-runners for the award were seemingly lacking some of the alleged requirements. Oh well, I'm a realist - he won't win but as many have said before, an invite to NYC for Lynch is possible and would be a win for him, NIU and all non-AQ's.

He was the best player at an elite program in the Big 10.
