Anyone know about TV coverage? I know ESPNU but UABs site also says ESPN3 but I don't see the game on ESPN3s schedule. Anyone know?

ESPN shows it as ESPNU/WatchESPN, meaning it probably isn't on ESPN3.

Watchespn and espn3 are the same thing.

No. Availability for each is determined differently. My cable provider has access to ESPN3 but I can't use the WatchESPN app.

Again, being an authority on something you obviously don't know enough about.

WatchESPN is through agreements with Cable providers to watch the actual ESPN channels live (not just games, but shows like Sportscenter, PTI, etc.)

ESPN3 is through agreements with Internet Service Providers to watch games that ESPN has contracted, sometimes that are on ESPN networks (when multiple games are shown on the same channels) and some "off" network.

I'll be leaving work early today to go home and watch live.

So if you only have ESPN3 you can't watch this game? Athletics site needs to change that then because it says ESPN3.

Correct. Since the game is being broadcasted nationally on ESPNU, you'll need to have WatchESPN to stream it.

If you click the link on the UAB game article on uabsports.com it actually says ESPN3 or ESPNU. So maybe it will be.

Not according to ESPN3, which I just tested to watch part of the earlier tournament games. Had to sign in with a cable provider for WatchESPN. UABSports.com is wrong.

Should say ESPNU or WatchESPN.
