The guy has been a winner at every level so far. He has a winner's mentality. I know Thomas is doing allright, but we're not winning. I would still keep Thomas in the starting lineup if he continues to play well, but I'd like to see what we could do with Smith running the team. Winning is not about stats. Graber didn't have outstanding stats, but he was a winner.
Smith has to think of himself as a winner and as the point guard he could bring that attitude to the rest of the team. That's the one big change I'd try at this point. We don't have a lot to lose at this point. What we're doing is obviously not working.
