Watching on TV in a bar (Lindy's Landing) it looked like an infomercial for NIU. The facilities were jaw dropping. The Stadium looked IMPRESSIVE with the closed north endzone.
I was about to say the same thing. Desmond seemed to go out of his way to compliment the team, fans, and facilities tonight. The game was about the best we could have asked for as NIU fans.
What was the official attendance?

Class act all around. the entire night is one of my favorite in NIU history...
Herbie was even complimenting the game on twitter. Called it a "great game" and said "great stop!" on that 4th down.
National Championship here we come!
Not only was Desmond talking up NIU but he also brought up several good points like NIU always seems to start slowly on defense (only three points in 2nd half). He also pointed out other plays or schemes which all seemed to play out. He did a great job.

It was 29 deg before kickoff per my car with a 12-20 mph wind. It was easially 10 deg colder halfway up the stadium. By the end of the game the temp dropped more. Not quite as cole as the BSU game 2 years ago but still one of the 3 coldest games I ever attended.
