Finally some competition. So far the team has blown out all of its opponents which is what I expected them to do. Still, coming into this game I am a little worried. RMU at least played D1 competition so far and won both games. We limit their Senior guard Karvel Anderson and I think we squeeze this one out.

EMU: 65
RMU: 61

On the side note. I am hoping we go at least 2-1 in these next three games and hopefully 3-0. If we end up 1-2 or 0-3 I will be officially worried.
our offense has potential, but this is the first real game after adding 3 new starters. with this in mind, i think a game in the low 60s (like RealistEagle predicts) is the only way we win tonight.
Just looking over their box scores and roster, I noticed that they like to shoot the 3 and aren't very big (only 2 guys taller than 6'6, one of which barely plays). As we all know, good 3-point shooting teams tend to do well against us, but not having much of an inside presence may hurt them. McFadden, a transfer from Iona, seems to be their one true post threat at 6'8. He'll have trouble against Riley and Ajayi in the middle of that zone.

It'll come down to forcing them into bad shots and limiting our turnovers. I think we have guys who take better care of the ball this year, so I'm optimistic about tonight. Look for Glenn Bryant has a big game. He'll be a tough matchup for anyone on their squad.

EMU: 70
RMU: 61
Best stats of the season so far: GB is 0-1 on three point shots. He jacked up too many last year. The team is shooting .538 from beyond the arc against the cupcakes. Keep GB in the paint.
Definitely! He's much better when going to the basket.

Another fun stat is Karrington Ward shooting over 80% from three. This kid is quite an all-around talent. Excited to see what he does against D1 competition.
EMU 68
Bob Morris 65
I'd mostly like GB to stay in the paint so I can watch him throw down more Lebron-esque dunks.

03-lmfao03-lmfao just realized that ... making me wait longer and longer. Can't wait to get a first look this year of this team.
Any Jim Boone sightings?
First Media TO RMU 9 EMU 5

Negatives:

2 dumb early turnovers by Talley and Lee,
Stupid short corner shot by Lee
Zone has done nothing so far

Positive (s):

Nice start by Ward
9-5 RMU at the first tv timeout. A couple breakdowns defensively, and some forced Ray Lee shots. Not a good start.
I wonder when our guys will realize that this isn't Concordia or Marygrove
Fairly sloppy by us on the offense, RM getting inside.
Hm RM 16 us 7.
Very sloppy offensively. Some frustrating turnovers.

Get Ward the ball.

This is ugly.

Riley is playing like crap. Those blocks don't mean nothing. We lost at least 3-4 buckets due to him being out of position. Our guards seem to be excited and trying to do too much on their own. Bad turnovers by Lee and Talley.
I will say keep Glenn in instead of Harrison. Also give Ajayi a chance to show what he can do.
I like this 5 on the floor:

Bryant
Ward
Ajayi
Lee
Ross
