Makes me ill when I read of opposing teams setting team, conference and national records against our defense.
Came over to say great game Toledo. UB has been playing poorly in the first half all year and finally played a team good enough to step on our throats with it.

It was plain dominance for the first 30 minutes and as much as I want to blame our players for not bringing their A game that would not be fair to Toledo. Sure we started sluggish but you don't get up 38-0 just because the other guys are off, thats quality running depth you have.
Hats off to the Bulls for never giving up last night!!! They had all the reason to do so, and didn't.

Unfortunately the defense went very passive in the second half against the pass, and rightfully so. they only rushed 3 lineman most of the time, which allowed plenty of time for the QB to find receivers. In the first half, there were always 4 guys and a 5th usually attacking on pass plays.
Another thing that worked against our defense was they were on the field a lot of the game, because a lot of the time the offense score quickly. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, but when the opposing team runs so many plays, they're going to put up big numbers up. Bottom line, we got another big win, and we're still in the hunt.
I really liked the way the defense stuffed the Buffalo offense in the first half. If they play the way they did in the 1st half for 4 quarters against NIU, I like our chances.
Go Rockets.

I don't follow the "rightfully so" part. Why wouldn't we want to stick primarily with a defense that had absolutely stuffed the other team? Until proven further ineffective, why did they change?
