We survived 4 lost fumbles and still won by 16. We are such a wounded football team that there were people playing today whose names I have not heard much all year. McKinnon gutted it out at quarterback. His ankle is obviously hurt but I think he wanted desparately to play in his last home game at Paulson Stadium. We will miss him next year.

We are 5-4 now with 2 left: at Elon and at Florida.

I am ready to turn the page from this year. We need to have a good recruiting season and get set for our first year in the SunBelt next year.

I know every team moving to the FBS has to go through this 2 year transition but this last year in FCS has been tough. Hopefully next year with at least the conference championship to play for we will get more attendance and excitement. I am not saying we will win the championship but at least it is out there as something to play for.

My goal is for us to go 4-4 in conference next year. It remains to be seen if we can manage that.

I'm just hoping for a healthy team so we can have a chance!

Looking forward to some new rivalries. I really am looking to our new stadium next year with a 2nd deck and the big Football Operations Building. Now that our home season is over full scale construction can start with no interruptions until the job is done.
