Week in and week out Syracuse is called for a ton of penalties and their opponents aren't called for anything.
This game is Maryland is just a travesty. Syracuse has been called for 10 penalties for 105 yards while Maryland has been called for 1 for 5 yards. And they're not even legit calls either.
Syracuse was called for the halo rule (which does even exist anymore right?) even though they gave the Maryland punt return two yards to catch it. Then on that ensuing drive they recovered a fumble and was ruled to be lined up offside when they clearly weren't.
I already hated this overrated conference that's 3-13 in BCS bowl games enough but now I hate it even more.
So...you think ACC refs are being ordered to call against Syracuse in it's first season in the conference while they are playing Maryland, the University is that leaving the conference?
Any other school, I might look to the other Syracuse fans for their opinion but Maryland? Really?

Sounds like crying over an undisciplined team. If they were going to be gunning for anybody it's would be like H said, Maryland.

Yeah getting called for offsides when everyone is clearly behind the line of scrimmage is undisciplined. Same with giving the kick returner plenty of room to catch the punt and still being flagged for it.
Meanwhile the refs refuse to call anything on the other team.
By the way Syracuse is up 20-3. They're winning and our fans still aren't very happy with the officiating.

but yeah there really is a stigma against syracuse. ACC refs are notorious already and its been an eye opener watching SU games. i have never seen so many WTF calls watching syracuse before

Sorry but I didn't see it. Otoh, on two major drives, where the Syracuse WR grabbed the ball with one hand in Maryland territory and later on in the game where the Maryland WR caught the ball near the red zone only to fumble, the refs made the right calls, ruling in favor of Syracuse.

I miss the old days of the ACC-Big East challenge, but now that the fball members have consolidated into 1 conglomerate, gues we have to get used to the infighting. Basketball season should be fun. Wish UCONN was on board too...
FWIW, I think it's pretty common knowledge that the northern flank of the conference would do naked acrobatics if the B10 came calling...at which point I'd say "good riddance".
