It is all but certain that the Blazers will end the 2013 campaign with their 9th consecutive losing season.

Previous Mathematical Elimination Dates during this stretch:

2005: Nov 26 (5-6)
2006: Nov 10 (3-9)
2007: Nov 3 (2-10)
2008: Nov 1 (3-9)
2009: Nov 28 (5-7)
2010: Nov 11 (4-8)
2011: Oct 29 (3-9)
2012: Oct 27 (3-9)
2013: Nov 9 (???)

At least we made it to November this time guys! 04-cheers 02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-bananaCOGSCOGSCOGS02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana

So if you're the coaching staff, what do you focus on from here out? And to the sunshine pumpers, a bit of reality: a 6-6 year likely wouldn't have resulted in a bowl berth this year. There will likely be 6-8 teams (likely of the non-BCS variety) that get left out with 6 wins or better this year.
3-9 or 2-10...."sigh"...So unacceptable!
What's FN happy about it?
I am completely dismayed with that football team right now, particularly the defense. Season cannot end fast enough for me. A golden opportunity to show some true progress and improvement was blown to smithereens.

There has been nothing (so far) from the McGee era that leads me to believe he can turn this program around. Usually a truly good HC will make noticeable improvements the first year.........1.75 seasons in, and we are just as bad now as we were in Callaway's last season.

I agree. REALITY can be a bitter pill to have to swallow and it looks like another dose of the same "medication" is probably coming next week @ ECU. Our last two games are the games most likely to provide positive vibes for the off season, but nothing can be taken for granted by UAB.

I have not checked the 2013 roster for who was signed by whom, but I suspect that the great majority of our regular players this season are from that last Callaway team, particularly AFTER our injuries.

Throw about 2/3 of my play book on both offense and defense, and we will spend the remainder of the season blocking and tackling.

McGee's been losing his own recruits
Greer
Parrotta
G Davis
Forehand
Haqq
Gordon
Green/McKinney never made it
Kick another talented WR off in D. Scott

An the secondary of the defense is all McGee outside J. Davis and C. Jones and a few who committed to XCNC in Brackett,Brown, and Ganus wherever position we play him.

All 2012 leftover XCNC signees should be on defense. I don't think next years defense will be all that good as we show no signs of building a defense.
Yeah...it's pretty bad at this point. Historically, we've been able to stay in games by putting up good offensive numbers...but now even our offense has become turrible.
You know what you call a bad day for UAB football?

Saturday.

But God knew UAB football was coming eventually, and that it wouldn't be pretty.
