Don't recall which two teams they projected last week, the Belt rep was probably stAte.
N. Illinois would probably beat us very convincingly, but anything can happen in college football.

I think it depends on if you have Browning under center, as you guys are clearly a different/better team when he's on the field . . . .
These bowl predictions are about as clear as a Miss Cleo reading. Things will be a bit more clear after this weekend with at least one team for sure being eliminated from the AAC. Other bubble teams can go down as well. Of course, he thinks Texas either runs the table or only loses one in a run that includes Texas Tech, Baylor and Ok St. Not buying that. Houston vs UCF will be interesting followed by Louisville vs Houston next week. Although Fresno will take a hit in SOS with its last games, don't think Louisville or Houston can jump them unless Fresno loses a game. If NIU wins out, they may have a chance to jump them but it will take a bad game (close win) by Fresno to hurt them in the human polls.

I mentioned in another thread that the thought of N. Illinois in the GoDaddy Bowl would not appeal to them as they'd likely believe they deserved a better matchup.

Those conditions are often a recipe for an upset.
Dude that NIU team will throttle ULM worse than Ohio did last year.

GoDaddy Bowl is the result of going undefeated and being ranked in the Top 25? No way man! NIU will go to a much better bowl if that happens.

It is the MAC champion. If NIU doesn't land in a BCS bowl then they are heading to Mobile

I don't think it would be pretty. They would throttle ULL too though.

Most likely yes, though that's why they play the game.

Same with us. I know I would definitely go in with typical homer optimism as well. Got to.

Stranger things have happened. The other evening one of the App State fans linked to their school's website (worth a view btw). One featured film was their 2007 win over Michigan in front of 109,000 stunned Michigan fans. That was awesome.

I understand they would be MAC champs, but I believe NIU will have more/other options that’s NOT necessarily BCS related. I know if an SBC team were in that position, I would be screaming from the rooftops to put them in a much higher bowl than what we have.

They may, but we match up better with them that ULM. Either program would be massive dogs going into that game in Mobile. The Cajuns get them in the Dome we win. We don't lose there lol.

It is a function of what is available. Most of these bowls are locked in with their respective conferences and if that conference has a bowl eligible team, they go, regardless of any other teams ranking or record. There is only going to be a handful of bowls with open slots (maybe 4). So NIU can choose between Dallas or Mobile (maybe). Get lost in the shuffle of an also bowl on Jan 1 or be the only game on TV in primetime.
