Chance to get healthy, get a few new wrinkles installed, and get the players ready to win @ home, on national TV, & against a winless Miami of OH team.

Haynes/Holley/Goode press conference from today: http://www.kentstatesports.com/news/2013...31839.aspx

Coaches/staff will have a few extra days to recruit live during the high school state playoffs on the weekends and showcase their program on national TV during the week.

Around the MAC this week, with games on ESPN tomorrow & Wednesday. Ohio U vs Buffalo good game and BG @ Miami of OH.

It will be interesting to see what Haynes/staff have done/worked on during the bye week, to see if KSU can finish this season on a high note with a home win vs Miami of OH on ESPN & a road win over Ohio U on ESPN. I am interested to see what wrinkles/plays/formations have been added/removed on offense & defense and what type of energy/attitude the team shows this week vs the last 4 games. Miami of OH looked horrible vs BGSU (I haven't seen them play live all year) & Ohio U looked very bad vs Buffalo, so who knows what version of each team will show up for these last 2 games.

I sure hope that the players have taken the bye week seriously, to get rested/healthy and really look at film. KSU has to finish this year off on a good note, for next year and for recruiting.

Exactly my thoughts. Thank you for expressing them so clearly.

No, I'm about an hour the other side of Ohio Northern, let alone close enough to get to Kent regularly.

Is the game on ESPN or ESPN2?
03-wink
ESPNU for Miami of OH & Ohio U is ESPNU/ESPN2.
A Wednesday night game at 8:00 where people can opt to stay home and watch. I think the real question is will anyone show up?
A combined 2-17 record. Wed. will be tough, and if the weather is at all dicey, it will be deserted.

We will officially be back to the old days.
