For all the fans who followed him through his high school career and wants to know how he is doing now, he is at Niagara University and starting. He might not be at ODU, but he wanted to be a monarch his whole life and now is making the best of his situation.
Good luck to him. Ain't too late to transfer!
We are all aware of his whereabouts. Don't really want to think about it. Jones and the AD really f'ed that one up.
so we need another in between player considering our roster? This situation was not totally ODU's fault. Get over it. He was not the second coming or going to get us into the NCAA any time soon
not to open old wounds, but I think the admissions office had a part in the F up too.

I remind you he is the same size as VCU's best player, who plays power forward and if he is starting for Niagara as a true Freshman. I submit he would be much more useful to us than the 2 unfilled scholarships or however many walk-ons we are going to use to field a team. Are you really that stupid to buy that line or are you just trying to polish a turd to justify Jones's bonehead move in your own mind?

I doubt it. This has never been a problem before and now we are recruiting JUCOs, which are a much bigger risk of failure than Snowden. If our AD can't get an eligible student-athlete past a bunch of paper pushers, we have some wrong people in some wrong positions somewhere.

All JUCO's are not a bigger risk. There are other reasons than grades for enrolling at a JUCO.

A few recent football JUCOs, Thomas DeMarco, David Born, and Cam Boyd. Find a couple of those in basketball clothing and I'm good. All good students.

It's time to move on and just because others have differing opinions, it doesn't make them stupid.

Agreed, one can have a bad opinion without being stupid. My response was in poor taste and apologize.

I am just frustrated we are filling our roster with walk-ons and ineligible transfers, sitting on 2 schollies (3 if you count Anton), we let this good one slip away, and people are saying, and I paraphrase, "oh well we didn't need the kid anyway."

I have a feeling that those scholarships that are carried forward will be filled with quality recruits.
It's like needing a car, but not sure which one to get. So you buy a used car to drive for a year until you have done your research and know exactly what you want, and then commit to the hefty 60 month payment plan on a new car.
Lion I agree with you about moving on, but I would like to clear some things up first with Ever. 1 - Why do you resort to name calling almost every time someone disagrees with you? Are you that insecure in your knowledge that you have to resort to childish tactics? 2 - Your word is not gospel and you are often wrong as you are in this case. If you will check the respective web sites, Javonte Riddick is 6'9" and Ramone Snowden is 6'5", so they are not even remotely the same size. 3 - Good for Ramone if he is starting. I just don't believe we need another tweener in the program. Thank you all for listening.
Apology accepted and I often enjoy your perspective. We just things differently.

Ha, that's funny.

It's Juvonte Reddic and he's referring to Treveon Graham who happens to be a similar build but was a superior prep player.

Reddick is VCU's center. Treveon Graham is their PF and he is the same size as Snowden and has the same style of play.

He (Graham) played against superior competition, but whether he is a superior player is yet to be seen. I think Snowden is going to be a steal and was only less lucrative because he comes from a weak league.
Speaking of moving on, I'm surprised there is not more talk about today's news regarding Dorian Finney Smith at UF. That issue could have been ours to deal with as well. Boy that would have felt crappy going into this season, eh? Oh well, hope he can move off the "indefinitely" status.

Agree with your assessment of Ever, let's say some of his views are suspect. One last comment on Snowden.Go to the Exhibition game Friday night against ECSU,watch us play and tell me need another 6ft4 or 6ft5 guy on this team.We have too many already. We need BIG guys.Big juco players will do just fine.

one of the articles posted alluded to it being a 3-game suspension which also alluded to a 2nd drug violation. thats providing I read that right.
