Shawn Long averaged 15ppg and 10rpg as a freshman so I'll go with him as a 3/4 hybrid type player depending on the matchup.

I thought he played more as a center?

Last year he played the 3, 4 and 5 for us because we had no other players that could compete consistently in the paint. We added some beef for this season and they played pretty well during their overseas trip. Now it wasn't against the best of competition but they more than held their own.

I expect Long to play the 4 most of this year although he will likely be out on the perimeter more time than not.
I don't even know what a small forward is these days . . . is that a 3 or a 4?

That is why I put Shawn Long as a 3 & 4. He is a 4 on the collegiate level but his game is closer to Carmelo Anthony's although some will disagree with me.
Most small forwards are rim attackers and are tweeners 6'4-6'7 range usually

I know, go ahead and list Josh Brown for the Cajuns at the 3 and Long at the 4.
For us it's Jay Canty. He averaged 14.3 ppg, and 6.2 rpg last year.
James white. Raw but 2nd round nba physically but below average basketball skills at the sbc level. Mixed bag....

Didn't JB graduate about 2 years ago?

I figured that's what you meant. He's the big ? for me this coming season, along with our bigs. I'm anxious to see how he plays. I saw good things before the injury.

Hmmm...like many other SBC teams....Georgia State really uses a hybrid based on matchups. That being said Markus Crider might be our most prototypical SF. But last season, Rashaad Richardson and R.J. Hunter might have slid over to that spot. This season R.J. might see more time in that spot though last season he primarily played the 2 and 3.
Well I don't think stAte will start a small forward . . . they'll probably start a 2 guard and a wing/3 guard. Then have two power forwards @ 6-7 and 6-10.

WKU is stronger at the forward more so than the small forward position.

But we have Nigel Snipes which was a redshirt soph due to a injury last season. He is a athletic and fast kid with some range

215 lbs
