By defeating Tulsa earlier today it's the first time they'll be going bowling since 2002 when they won the Hawaii Bowl. Tulane also notched its 500th win earlier this season. I think a quick shout-out was in order after years of poor football. 04-cheers
They are 6-2 and 3-0 in league play under a 2nd year coach. They are on a collision course with Rice for the right to play in the C-USA title game. And they open a new campus stadium next year as they join the American.

So happy for Tulane.
CUSA can't be happy that it's title game this year could easily be East Carolina vs Tulane. though both team have road games with teams they're tied with in Marshall and Rice the last game of the season...
I absolutely LOVE Tulane head coach Curtis Johnson. He is a hometown guy from New Orleans and was wide receivers coach with the Saints for six years before taking the Tulane job. He is a terrific coach, but I have to tell you that I thought he was a little crazy for taking the job.

Just to give you an idea of how good a coach and recruiter Johnson is, here is a partial list of the players he has coached (and some he recruited) in his career:

Marques Colston New Orleans Saints
Robert Meachem New Orleans Saints
Lance Moore New Orleans Saints
Tony Gaiter University of Miami
Jammi German University of Miami
Yatil Green University of Miami
Andre Johnson University of Miami
Andre King University of Miami
Ed Reed University of Miami
Santana Moss University of Miami
Roscoe Parrish University of Miami
Reggie Wayne University of Miami
Will Blackwell San Diego State University
Marshall Faulk San Diego State University
Patrick Roe San Diego State University
Darnay Scott San Diego State University
Bobby Shaw University of California
Iheanyi Uwaezuoke University of California
Congrats to Tulane. They have the potential to add a few more!
Congrats to Rice. They have an identical record.
i would really like to see rice get picked up by the b12 or aac
