He was waived today by the Knicks. I wish him the best and hope he gets back to the NBA
no surprise, he was there mainly for training camp
Sucks, wish him the best.
well dang
Unfortunately, he's about at the end of his NBA rope. He's not a kid by NBA standards anymore. I would compare him to Joey. Both have skills that transfer well to the NBA (CDR - scoring, Dorsey - rebounding) but neither seems to be able to do enough well to be a fixture in the league.

Hopefully both guys are saving their money and enjoying the playing time they have left so that when they are done they can adapt more easily to a "normal" lifestyle that includes "working" for a living.
the dream is still alive! (or is it over?)
Put his jersey on the rafters of Fed Ex Forum at the first chance possible. I say at next year's Madness.
Just loved CDR as a player - thought he was a great follow-on to Carney.

This is a good reminder .... every year fans tout our current players as being NBA draft material and NBA ready. Let's just remember how ridiculously good CDR was in the college game.

Rose & Evans made it big in the NBA.
WBarton is a decent NBA player.
CDR & Carney just can't quite stick in the league.

This is the general measuring stick of playing in the NBA or overseas.
CDR will be a regular starter playing overseas... pick any country in Europe and he would be in their all-star team league... Even f*cking Farrakhon Hall was a starter in Denmark lol!
Have a nice trip

Why do you feel the need to "dis" one of our former players? Hall was not a super great basketball player, for sure, but played hard when he was put in, at least from what I observed. I'm sure current, former, and future Memphis players read this board. Please try and show a little class.
but seriously, memphis or not, i thought cdr's probs were merely an attitude thing. how can his ability to be a contributor in the league not land him on a team? dang, he's already a proven scorer at that level

He didn't make the Italian league all star game his time over there

ehhh yah once you get that A word on your rap sheet, and if you haven't established yourself yet you may as well just go pound sand man

damn near done
good news is that at least those folks who wanted to see him play in person won't have to drive all that way to the FEF when the Knicks come to town in February

Evans certainly has made his share of money, but he has hardly "made it big" in the NBA. About Barton being decent......at this point I would venture to say he will be significantly better than 'Reke by the time it's all said and done.

Tyreke was the rookie of the year...his career averages are 17.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists...He has made it big in the NBA, really big...Will averaged 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and .8 assists per game...There is hardly a comparison between these two players...I hope Will does well and he will probably be a good bench player, but he has miles to go to be as successful as Tyreke. Miles and miles.

Better to not comment on things you are not sure of. Evans may not be counted as a superstar but yes he is big time.

You really leave the realm of reality when you predict Will being significantly better than TE. Will is an overachieving Tweener that was a phenom for us. He can't be in the NBA what he was for us and I don't for one second believe he will have a better career than TE.

I think people forget how good the NBA is and how hard it is to stick. There are only 60 players drafted each year. About 35-40 of those each year get multi-year guaranteed contracts. the average career for an NBA player is about 6 years but the real tell is 48% of the league is 3 years or less. That means the league eats good college players for breakfast.
