Nick Saban wants Alabama fans to stop leaving early! Interesting that Nick is criticizing Alabama fans, after his wife was seen shopping for a home in Austin, Texas. Alabama, The Eyes of Texas are coveting your head football coach. Often where there is smoke, there is fire! Ouch, the Big 12, taking the SEC's Flag Ship schools head coach! 07-coffee3

You have to remember, I'm so bright my daddy called me son... cheers:
Well unlike some schools, Alabama fans have to show up for 8 home games instead of 5 or 6. Saban needs to chill.

Who wouldn't want to stay for:
Colorado State
Georgia State
Chattanooga

Plus stellar conference teams like:
Kentucky
Arkansas

Alabama may have seven home games, but only three this year are worth going to.

Alabama gets huge crowds that stick around to the end of their spring scrimmage. Any of the games listed above mean more than a scrimmage in the spring...

But when you play sub chart looks like this:

1st Quarter = 1st String
2nd Quarter = 2nd String
3rd Quarter = 3rd String
4th Quarter = Cheerleaders

It is time to bring in some tougher OOC teams.
Leave early or be in the back of the line for the
game day autographed jerseys at T-Town Menswear.

I went to the SDSU/UNLV game last year. Odds are pretty good I'd stay for the whole Alabama/Georgia State tilt.
Quote:The Crimson Tide have played four home games this season against Colorado State, Ole Miss, Georgia State and Arkansas. Alabama has won those four games by a combined score of 153-9. That's right, the average score is roughly 38-2. The closest any of those four games has been at the start of the fourth quarter is 17-6 against Colorado State. That game would finish 31-6.

So the home schedule:

Colorado State
Georgia State
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Tennessee
LSU
Chattanooga

Imagine being a season ticket holder, paying hundreds for tickets, parking, concessions, etc...and seeing this as your home schedule. Yikes. LSU is the only team that creates any kind of buzz on that schedule. Ole Miss and Tennessee are mildly interesting and the rest is just plain boring.

8 home games. Again. I checked.
It costs a lot, several thousand, for season tickets and a parking spot and I don't even go usually.

I'll go to the LSU game but I usually give my tickets away. It's just a waste of time to see them play some of those teams.

There are some SEC and Big Ten teams that open with 4-5 consecutive home games. Must be nice.
Wait, what? Alabama has seven home games this year, not eight:

Aug 31 @Virginia Tech Won 35-10
Sep 14 @Texas A&M Won 49-42 CBS
Sep 21 Colorado St. Won 31-6 ESPN2
Sep 28 Ole Miss Won 25-0 ESPN
Oct 5 Georgia State Won 45-3 ESPN - Gameplan
Oct 12 @Kentucky Won 48-7 ESPN2
Oct 19 Arkansas Won 52-0 ESPN
Oct 26 Tennessee 3:30 pm CBS
Nov 9 LSU

Nov 16 @Mississippi St.
Nov 23 Chattanooga 2:00 pm ESPN - Gameplan
Nov 30 @Auburn

The Virginia Tech game was in Atlanta.
Math isn't a popular subject at Alabama, I guess...

Yeah, why schedule those teams when they could schedule teams like Southern Illinois, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Texas State, etc. and have stellar conference games like Purdue, Minnesota, Indiana, etc.

When you guys show me where your teams are scheduling all Power 5 teams and have a conference schedule as tough as any team in the SEC West, let me know. Bunch of bitchy jealous whiners. Oh yeah, 04-cheers.
Here is an easy solution for all of the University Presidents wondering why attendance is down (and using their future Hall of Fame coach as a mouthpiece)...

1). Get the SEC offices to allow beer sales at games
2). Get current concession vendors to reduce prices below the 1000% profit margin they now enjoy
3). Replace metal bleachers with actual full back seats (that fit an average size human, not a cornish hen)
4). Stop scheduling directional FCS schools and get your season ticket holders back
5). All current students get in free to build your future season ticketholder base
6). Provide free WI-FI so people will go/stay at the game
7). MORE RESTROOMS

When those teams start having coaches complain about the fans, then get back to me.

And this year, sorry, but the SEC has a lot of VERY weak teams. Alabama has two tough games this year in the SEC - aTm and LSU.
