No one player makes Florida State. They are on the upswing as a whole.

And FSU only just won it. They needed a late pick to seal the deal against a .500 GT squad. VT had its worst season in over a decade. The conference was the most crap, especially at the top, it has ever been since VT-Miami-BC came over. Your empire last year was one of dirt.

That's mostly true, but losing your best player while also moving up a huge step in competition at the same time isn't great for any program.

UL will struggle next year. You don't have to admit it. Just like none of you admitted you would lose this year.

Right now, and possibly for the next couple of years, I do believe that we all will be chasing Florida State. As a Clemson fan, I point to a couple of areas (outside of Winston, which is a given) where I think Florida State has turned the corner. First, talent evaluations under their current staff are better than the previous regime. Second, I think their revamped S&C program is paying dividends. The majority of that team is underclassman. The are scary-good.

As for the Butt-whipping they administered on Clemson, wow. Do I really think they are that much better than us on average? No. I am a realist, though, and can say that if we played that team best of five, we could maybe win one or two. Their team is legit this year, next year too. After Winston leaves, they still have the makings to just reload.

As for the Florida State and nobody else crap, trolling. Let's remember that Clemson beat the last 3 out of 4 SEC teams they played (Auburn, LSU, GA, loss to SCAR). That is not Kentucky or Vandy either. Then you have Miami beating a healthy Florida team to boot as well as UVA knocking off BYU (which creamed Texas).

The FSU win at Death Valley is bad because of the thoroughness of the loss. Keep in mind, however, that that is the first time they have won there in over 10 years (I think). Florida State is once again at the head of the conference but it is not the same as the 90s.

For example, during FLST's run in the 90s, Clemson was coming off of firing Danny Ford. There was an intentional de-emphasis placed on football by the president. During the decade of the 90s, Clemson lagged behind every single program in spending on football facilities. We spent less than Duke on football, less than Wake. Not saying that we would have stopped the run at all, but talk about fighting a giant with both hands tied. Today, the purse strings are loosened, so my hope is that while FLST goes on what I assume will be a mini-run of dominance, we will be close enough to rise up and challenge. I think Va Tech and Miami are in similar positions as well, and Ga Tech will always be hanging around as long as Johnson is running that nightmare offense of his.

Take nothing away from Florida State, They have awoken, and remembered they are strong. There are other players in the neighborhood this time around.

Obviously Marge is JustAnotherName...one was banned and one was born on the same day. I don't care though...I don't mind differing opinions but I will call them out if I think it is ridiculous or insulting.

I won't blame the ACC for FSU losing. If the ACC teams beat FSU, how could I do that?

I tell it like it is. People like you don't like those that aren't cheerleaders for a conference. I can care less about other members of a conference. Those SEC cheerleaders who cheer for they leech off of are just as bad as the ACC people that do so.
