What is the deal with this guy? Everybody is predicting starting lineups w/out his name even being considered. He show some promise last year, and by all accounts has bought stock in Mick;s philosophy and system.
I may be in the minority on this, but I think he can develop into a good player. He is fast, has good ball skills, can shoot the 3, and is not afraid to take the big shot. Yes, he needs to put on weight, and needs to improve on defense, but so do most freshman. he has 1 year in the BE under his belt, plus he practiced with guys like Jihad, White, Downey, Moore, etc for a year. I think he can develop into a solid player for UC.
He'll need to prove he's a Big East level player before you can talk about starting minutes. It's true Mick recruited him..................to Murray State. I doubt he would have recruited him to UC.

I have nothing against Dominic in general, but "fast" is NOT an adjective that comes to mind when I think of his play based on what I have seen to date.

You're certianly entitled to your opinion, but he seemed to be a very quick, shifty guard when I saw him last season. he is certainly not slow. I thought he showed an ability to penetrate, and make quick decisions on the fast break. Again, he was out there a limited amount of time, but reasonable minds may differ, I suppose.
I think he will be valuable and productive. The number of good looks he gets will probably be a good measure of our new PG's and how well the team is functioning as a unit.

If he gets a good look (I think everyone would agree) he has already shown that he can drain it.
I think whether we like it or not, opening game Tilford will be in the starting lineup. I have huch Mick really believes in this guy.
I've seen to many guys go from unknown to star or big time contributor at UC over the years to just write them off. We'll see about Tilford.
He'll need to get a lot stronger and show that he has some promise on the defensive end, before he sees a lot of PT...
Tilford kind of reminds me a little of Darnell Burton. Not the fastest guy and needs to work on his defense. But the offensive game is there and I think we would all be thrilled to death if he turned into another Burton. I think he really has the potential to become a solid starter.
i don't know if this has been debated to death, but i have a lot of faith tilfords ability...he's got the athleticism, needs to work on the strength aspect but most of the time, he came in as a shooting guard with either jihad, devan or chadd on the court with him eventhough he was a point in HS...i think he needs to get into the lane a lot more instead of popping wide open j's but i think he has all the tools to be a good BEast player...

Did he? Because I saw every game and never thought he was that great? He might be an alright role player, but nothing more.
