Well the odds have been posted and EMU is a 17.5 under dog. Has anyone heard about a boycott of the game?07-coffee3

Yeah, I've heard and read about a few people talking about boycotting EMU games but I wasn't sure they were serious about doing it. We will see this week huh?

Seriously, guys? A boycott? How in the world would anyone even notice?
I think I'm going to lay the 17.5 and bet big on Ohio. Might as well make some money off of this debacle.

I know I am crazy but I am going with EMU again.
People have been boycotting this team all season long - by staying home.

Thought about the same thing, since our closest loss this year is 18 points against Rutgers. I have literally no reason to think this game will be closer than 18. We're primed for another blowout.
17.5 points? Is that per quarter? OU will cover that.
Boycotting the game is idiotic. Even though they don't seem to be getting it from the coaching staff, the players need support no matter whether they are winning or not. We need more buts in the seats not less. You're not punishing the coach with a boycott. Believe me I know how dissapointing it gets.

Amen brother ...
Dear Friends,
Anyone notice on the Eastern website they are calling for a "White Out". Everyone is to wear white for the game. I think it will look a bit odd, with only 2,000 fans there and the high school bands in their uniforms. I'll be there, but might wear green to boycott.
I've attended two home games this season and would attend more if the team wasn't the total disaster it is this year. Each year I attend a few home games hoping I'll see more than I have only to be disappointed by the results on the field.

At this point my interest in this season is done, I'm more interested in moving on and getting a new coach here as soon as possible and getting that process moving as quickly as possible.

I agree. Silly idea on the part of EMU. OU's colors are green and white too.

Well that is logical. Eastern has really been trending in the right direction! 01-wingedeagle Might be time to find another totally random team to "root" for. I hear Akron is a fun team.

Wow, that cuts deep but I may just pickup another team along with the Cubs, Vikings, EMU, Akron and the GOP..

I don't know when EMU will turn it around but when they do, I will be a partying fool.. I think what got me hooked on this team was the year we went 6-6 it got me hooked and I am looking for that feeling again..

Pudge - Consider this to be an official request for you to NOT start rooting for any Detroit pro team, especially the Tigers and Lions. Your in a bad luck rut right now and we need to minimize your damage to our other teams.

I meant to include the lions and Tigers also (Smile).

At this point in the season should we be playing Roback (who didn't take a snap during the Army blowout)?

That is precisly what I have experienced over the years and for basketball as well.

Yes! Been saying that since the Ball State game. Might as well get him some experience, but I don't think that matters much to English. He knows he's gone after this year, so he sees no reason to look to the future. Just a wasted year for Roback.
