I was on the internet looking at some panorama pictures of Western Kentucky facilities and had several observations.

One thing I noticed painted in big letters on the walls of the women's basketball locker room was "Defense wins games", "Rebounds win championships", and "Offense sells tickets". We've discussed this many times talking about the lack of attendance at Trojan basketball games, and the fact that Shields style of offense isn't exciting. But it did strike me as the gospel truth. Offense sells tickets. Some of us have said that for years. You've got to put an exciting product on the floor.

An the second observation is that I don't have a clue as whether or not Bobby Petrino was interested in the ASU job before he was hired at Western, but looking at the pictures of the facilities at Western, I doubt that ASU could touch Western's facilities in any area. The last time I was at WKU they didn't even have any seating on the visitors side of the football stadium. Now they have a very beautiful stadium, and it looks to be much nicer than ASU's.

I don't see how most of the Sun Belt could ever compete with Western in any sport when you speaking of facilities. Obviously I haven't seen them all. I'd find it hard to believe that any Sun Belt schools have nicer facilities in any sports.

And the third thing is that we won't have to worry about competing with them as conference members after this year. Could still affect us if we were perhaps recruiting the same player in the future. We could compete with them facility wise in basketball and our track and soccer field.l.
