I was just waiting for someone to turn a thread about another sport into a football thread.
These sports have nothing to do with football.
Let me complete the pattern.

I almost posted this same thing. I was thinking the clubhouse could seat 30,000, and the golf course itself could be made of asphalt.

We know you were. Your comedy routine relies on it.
Proud of the fall sports so far for the most part. Some of the programs look to be having the most success they've had in years if not decades.
So, anyway, rock on, golf team!
To bad the news zeros in on the football.
The other sports get a mention here or there, but unfortunately in this state football is king. Soccer regularly seems to do well and we have had players get drafted and make news else where. The golf program continues to develop players. The baseball team seems to be up and down but does keeps it entertaining and screws it to UA on a constant basis.
Obviously UAB has had "difficulties" in the last few years with basketball, but that seems like it might be changing and the Hoops on the Hasphalt event seems to have grown this time. And it seems like Haase is putting in work on and off the field as far as getting games lined up.
So congrats golf team.
I'm agree with MB here. We can't have a single positive thread on here without somebody complaining about football.
The football team sucks. We get it. But once in a while, can we focus on something positive...especially since there ARE legitimate positive things going on around the athletic dept
