Blazers back in SoccerAmerica's Top 10 (at #10)

Diego Navarrete named to TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week, for the second time this season.
FAU was fairly high in the RPI, and we racked up 6 goals on them! We are explosive.

I hope we can keep it up and make a run in the NCAA Tournament!!
We are up to 8 in the RPI. FAU is 37 now. New Mexico is 26, Charlotte is 30, and Tulsa is 48. We still have some good opportunities for big wins. Hopefully some of the teams we have wins against will keep winning. VCU is now 19 in the RPI, and that is by far our best win right now.

And we beat them 4-0 at their place!
What's wrong with Indiana this year?
A lot of tough breaks. They lost 1-0 in OT to UCLA. They lost 2-1 to UAB in OT. They lost 5-4 to WVU in OT. They lost 3-2 to Butler in OT. I thought that'd be a big win going forward, but it doesn't appear it will. They still play VCU and Louisville, and have a couple of conference games that could be decent wins.

What 9911 said...
Plus, they were probably over ranked. It's not like they were stellar last year. I believe they were 12-5-4 heading into the NCAA tourney, then peaked, winning their last 4 games by 1 goal a piece. They lost their first game of the Big10 tourney. Had they lost that sweet16 game to Notre dame last year, they wouldn't have been in the top10 this preseason
That having been said, I expected them to have a much better record thus year
Thanks! Good info.

You guys are big-time soccer fans!
for completions sake, ranked #10 in the coaches poll

speaking of big soccer fans...USA vs. Jamaica in Kansas City in 2 days...meet me there
ODU at Charlotte on FoxSports South. Charlotte leads 1-0 with about 16 minutes until halftime. Charlotte's soccer field looks to have a track around it. The stands seem far away from the field. No thanks.

Update: Wow, ODU ties it up on a beautiful last second header off a corner kick. Both teams are very quick and have had a number of chances. The Monarchs will be a handful.

Update #2: ODU with a rocket to take the lead 2-1.

Update #3: Charlotte answers to tie it back up. Good game.

Going to OT...
ODU beats the Niners in Charlotte 3-2 in OT. The Monarchs have some serious skill and will be a big challenge Saturday night in Norfolk.
