07-coffee3 Does anybody have any information on the extent of our injuries suffered in Saturday's game?
Yes, someone please post the info if you know. I've been wondering the same thing myself. Coach fuente said nothing on his show except that he didn't know the extent of bobby mccain's injury yet.

I'm hoping DB's anthony watson and bobby mccain will be back for the houston game. Not even sure what happened to watson, but i'm doubting mccain will play.

Warford is probably DTD.

TE alan cross and someone else got hurt too.
McCain was a huge loss

I have never seen an injured Tiger player so active on the sideline during a game. He invested every ounce of energy he had on the sidelines. This kind of action indicates to me that the kids are buying into Fuente

So, McCain is for sure out against UH? What type of injury was it?

I'm not sure exactly how it happened but he limped out after a play early in the game and was on crutches and wearing a knee brace on the sidelines for the rest of the game. And yeah, you could tell he was still fired up.

I'm thinking calf muscle bruise. The cameras captured the play when he got hurt, and I didn't see any serious wrenching of the knee. The way it happened, I thought perhaps ankle, or just the blow to his calf. He hobbled to the sideline trying to keep that leg straight, like a cramp, then he had an ice pack on his calf. After half, I noticed him in the kneebrace. A deep tissue bruise could keep him out this Sat. Maybe Coach will say Thurs night on his show, or then again, he may keep it quiet so the coogs won't know.

Hopefully, the crutches were precautionary, and it's nothing an ice bath can't fix. If not, those who replaced him did a nice job, and I'm sure they will keep it up.
Cross was a huge loss, too. He is a clutch 3rd down receiver, a good blocker on runs and a serious threat in the red zone.
Oh, and I was just told he separated his shoulder.

There have been more.
I find it curious that it is now going on Wen. and we have not had any media reports or official info from the university on injuries....
No info leaves Houston guessing . . . I guess. 04-cheers
teams always suffer multiple injuries when playing UCF this year. We're not the first. I wonder if that's just a coincidence, or if they play dirty.
03-hissyfit I would say that the kick return hit was dirty wouldn't you?

Kick return hit was far from dirty...

Kids have been playing football that way for 30 years...It is only now that there is a rule in place that calls it a penalty.
It was reported by the CA that McCain stated his injury was not serious, no torn ligaments.

I would guess that your guess about leaving them guessing is correct. 04-cheers

I didn't see a penalty called. Broken necks and concussions have also been happening too when you have a player running at full speed and spear a player helmet to helmet
I talked to Grant Milner on twitter yesterday, and he told me that he doesn't believe Fuente will ever release that information. He says that Fuente likes to "keep that stuff in house". Probably a smart move by Fuente.
