The Miami Bowl, created by the American Athletic Conference, is expected to be held at Marlins Park, home of the Miami Marlins. The American Athletic will be the "anchor" conference, and its opponent would come from the other four non-power leagues, a source said.

In August, ESPN reported that the Bahamas Bowl will be held at Thomas Robinson Stadium and would be the first postseason bowl played outside the United States since the International Bowl in Toronto (2007-10).

A news conference will be held Oct. 14 to officially announce the Bahamas Bowl. All five non-power leagues will rotate in the game.

The Boca Raton Bowl will feature teams from Conference USA, MAC and the American Athletic. The game will be held at FAU Stadium on the Florida Atlantic campus. FAU is a C-USA member.

Like! It will be nice having a bowl in a great destination to go to! We have complained about the MAC having bowls in Boise, 2 in Alabama and one in Detroit. None that are amazing destinations to see.
We should send our No.1 team into one of these bowls. Try and get the other conferences to do it too. As said earlier better than going to Boise in the snow for a game for the best team.
Nice to go to warm weather bowls.
I think this is a good strategy. Create good match ups, create good incentives for conferences and recruits.

Might happen some years.
The Boca Bowl is to be officially announced tomorrow morning. The Bahamas Bowl will be officially announced on Monday. Hopefully we get a few details on how this rotation will actually work.
If my understanding is correct the MWC will realistically only be a backup option for these bowls. They are sort of already set bowl wise anyway.

An Earlier poster was right in that a league's #1 team could easily be sent to one of these games. I don't know about the MAC, but the SBC just finished doing away with a bowl pecking order, meaning we can put our champion wherever we want. (I am calling it the "Idaho rule") I could easily see a champ being sent to the Bahamas one year simply because we'll want our three primary bowls to have the highest attendance.)

C-USA will be the anchor of the Boca Bowl. MAC and AAC will provide the opponent.

Sounds like more of a rotation than @Dkurtenbach indicated. It will be MAC vs AAC at least 2 years. Heres the official MAC press release.

Looks like each conference Anchors a bowl (ours is the Bahamas) and then there is a rotation?

A 3 bowl rotation between Boca Raton, Marlins Stadium and Bahamas...and mainly MAC, CUSA, AAC as the participating conferences.

With the rotation all 3 great destinations and not an every year thing I wouldn't be surprised to see the MAC #1 lobby to get down here.

I honesty thing all three conferences need to lobby their #1 to these games...

But in the end it's all about horse trading..

The AAC has a few bowls against the G5 so they won't go for it.
So, is the Camellia (sp?) Bowl in Montgomery a "go" for the MAC/Sunbelt for 2014? I thought the MAC was holding off on committing to this game..did they commit to it?

My ride to Gainesville was about the same, Not really too bad.
I was mixing up Camellia with the proposed bowl for Little Rock which is the one that got "dinged"
Perhaps 4-5 years for now, it would be great to play here. Parents have a winter place in Delray Beach.
