three #1 picks and all you get is a 6-5 record with a bowl win against USF......talk about a wast of talent by the Wolfpack

Jackson
Who said they were all that talented? Their NFL career may not amount to a hill of beans. We will all know soon enough.

That North Carolina State team was talented and loaded. The coaching staff is a joke, just wasting talent.
Also keep in mind that the 3rd Wolfpack pick of the round (by the Bills) is already being panned as one of the worst 1 or 2 opening round picks. Most do not think they had top round talent for 3 guys, 1 just found a team in love with him.

Still though, it shows what Amato is capable of......which is not much.

And I hope they keep chuckles around so we can keep beating him every season... ;-)

These are the same guys who said that Ryan Leaf would be the second coming, and that Tony Mandarich alone would make Green Bay's draft a huge success.
Well, I certainly don't feel as bad about being shutout. They could get as many as 6 of their defensive starters drafted.

Stewart Mandel said it best:
Quote:What does it say about the Wolfpack's offense that despite boasting a defense that produced the top two defensive ends in this draft -- including potential No. 1 pick Williams -- and as many as six overall draftees, N.C. State went just 12-11 the past two seasons.

NC State had to beat a 1aa school to get bowl eligible!

Exactly, over there years Chucky has been getting some defensive studs, but outside of Phillip Rivers there offense has been a joke. They always fold in big games much like the NC State basketball team. I think NC State is becoming one of the more irrelevant schools out there. There top two money making sports have been underachieving for a while now and they have to be embarrased by being turned down by every coach they interview. I mean how can you get turned down by Steve hair grease? NC State is a joke right now, maybe they need to fire there AD, but getting turned down by coaches left and right and you are throwing out 2 million isn't a good sign of where there program is perceived by the coaching fraternity. Plus who wants to compete with Coach K and Roy Williams every year in your own damn state.
