I went to bed around 4 in the afternoon, and there were hardly any posts at all the rest of the day. I know most of you losers have no life, so I doubt you guys were out last night. What's the deal?
I was too busy drinking a lot of McEwans I.P.A. at The Pub. And Boddingtons Ale, Belhaven, Goose Island, Stella Artois, and a healthy plate of fish and chips. (My head hurts a little right now)

I gots a life! (sometimes)
I'm envious. What type of Goose?
Gruehls turned me on to Goose Island today. It was some kind of "India" as I recall. Not bad. I took some Tecate and Pilsner Urquell. Nice time.

It was the 321. Our waitress with the Cindy Crawford mole(mmm) suggested it to me. My wife, being a nurse, remarked that it looked like a urine sample from a guy with a Urinary Tract Infection. I drank it anyway. Pretty darn tasty. My Boddingtons Pub Ale & her Stella Artois resembled a clean sample, according to her. Not exactly what I wanted to discuss while drinking suds. Drinking beer with my wife is always interesting.

But the McEwan's was my favorite. Mole girl told us that McEwan's is pulling out of the US market soon. They no longer are getting it in. So we had a few extras. It is my quest this week to find it in bottles and buy up all of their stock.

I just ran out of my Urquell. A fine fine beer. I love Tecate, too. Pacifico, however, is my favorite Mexican beer. Didn't know if you've seen this, Chris, but Sam's has a 24 pack(6 each) for around $25 of Dos Equis, Tecate, Negro Modelo and I can't remember if it's Corona or Pacifico as the last beer. I need to pick one up this week before Cinco de Mayo. Quite a deal considering what a six pack costs these days.
Pacifico and Tecate are really good beers, but I wouldn't waste 6 bucks on either Dos Equis or Corona. Sorry.

Have no life? Who went to bed at 4:00pm? Unless you were up all night or a set of twins came over for an early wrestling match you have no excuse.

gruehls

Well, there's that too.
But when that third midget gets your big toe stuck....... Man that is hell!
Gruehls, I'm on my way back to Don's. I left my cell phone there yesterday. Good excuse to go back, anyway. I'm going out I74........
Goose is awesome 04-rock :drinky2: I drink mostly Western beers, but I'll grab Goose whenever I can find it.
Sobchak19, I just got the Biggs circular and Tecate is $5.99 for a 6 pack of cans. Dos Equis Amber or Lager is $11.99 for a 12 pack of bottles, and (I have no idea if anyone is interested in this but I will post it anyway) Jose Cuervo authentic margaritas, 1.75 liters, for $12.99. They also have 12 pack of bottles of Corona for $12.99. Happy May 5.

Mexican beer isn't much better than their water down there. But I guess since cinco de mayo is coming up, its ok.

I beg to differ. Tecate, Dos Equis and Pacifico(my favorite Mexican cerveza) are excellent beers. Corona sucks balls, though.

Thanks for the heads up, Tip. It is indeed creeping up on Margarita season.
Anyone like Flying Dog..? I love Jungle Jim's, they carry such a wide variety. Edit: Flying Dog is an American Beer.

Yeah, I guess I'm not a big fan of American macro lagers.

Almost all the beers in Mexico come from their 2 big breweries--the one that makes Corona, Pacifico, etc., and the one that makes Dos Equis and Tecate. As for Corona, if you have to put a lime in your beer to make it taste good, its not a good beer.

I've had the Flying Dog pale ale before, it's pretty good.

Party Source in Newport carries many varieties of beer.
I have been to both the Party Source and Jungle Jim's. I think Jungle Jim's has a "teensy little bit" more varied selection, but they are both equal in price.

321 is great beer. I had some a couple weeks ago, purchased at local Krogers suprisingly enough. I guess thats Chi-town's area code. The label is sweet, it has Chicago's skyline on it. I love a good hefeweizen.
