Our defense gave up almost 600 yards to a bad FAU offense.
Our supposed great running backs had a total of 51 yards rushing. That is laughable.
We are likely headed for a 1-11 year. Looks as if we bottom out this year, where we thought we had done that last year or the year before. I guess McGee thinks we need to take a step back before we can move forward.
He should make the entire starting defensive team walk back to the campus. Their effort was abominable today.

Agree, but he needs to be leading them along with his defensive coaching staff!
I would say right now there isn't a snowball chance in hell that we surpass last years win total.
Because that's slightly above average. We really have high expectations.
The part that really gets to me is we are not showing improvements! Losing is bad enough, but regressing is demoralizing to the fan base. I know we should support the team win or lose, but it would be nice to someday experience winning more than losing. This team/defense is awful.
It is critical for the program to finish with at least 4 wins this year to move things forward. I still think we will get there, but only if everyone starts to man up and be pissed off for greatness.

Why do you honestly believe this team can win 4 games? FIU beat USM in Hadesburg today.
it was my first game this year and the last one
coach got a lot to learn .....how to coach ,,,
why the offensive mind UAB coach cannot do anything in the red zone ,,,because it is not that great offensive mind at all
in 2013 the qb need to be able to run a least a little bit
UAB is now the new new mexico ....or the new buffalo
what a joke of coaching this entire season ,,,,,,coach need to got off your training wheel because ,,,the bike cannot support you anymore
UAB run the same play over and over on offense in same sequence
the defense never cover the middle ,,we were lucky that fau QB was missing some WIDE OPEN RECEIVER to KEEP uab in the game
Yeah I know...but I hope at least the team will put this behind them and get a W next week.
I would rank the rest of the opponents this way, from most likely win to least likely:
Southern Miss
FIU
UTSA
Rice
MT
Marshall
ECU
I think it's still possible to get a WTF win at home vs Rice or MT, but we'd have to win them both (along with the top 3 teams listed) to avoid the losing season. Doesn't look likely.
UAB mantra, "Next year, maybe".

Yes. Some do. But they all talk their team up, and for some to say he "hoodwinked" us is ludicrous. No one should listen to anything a coach says preseason.

We haven't been mediocre since Watson.
Bring back mediocrity. Bring back Watson.
