"Rising CO2 levels will probably warm up the Earth, but we don't know by how much, and we don't know when it will happen."

That's from the (peer reviewed) scientific literature

The UN's own Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, issued their periodic report on Friday. In what may be the greatest example of fluff hiding facts, the UN buries the fact that average temps have not changed in 15 years. They also note that scientists have only low or medium confidence in various theories for this reduced warming trend. Curiously we are told these same scientists have 95% certainty that anthropogenic warming exists.

So the scientists are sure it is happening but are unsure why it isn't.

Got it.
1st Law of thermodynamics.

Energy is neither created nor destroyed.

We are now trapping more and more energy. If it's not destroyed what is happening to this energy?

2nd Law of thermodynamics.

Entropy.

Most disorder is lost as heat.

To deny global warming is to deny these two laws.

Who says? That's your first mistake.

Well that's not right at all, but I think I get your point.

Not at all. To believe global warming when there is explicit evidence to the contrary is to deny science. Those Laws of Thermodynamics were established based on scientific observation.

If the Earth only absorbed heat from the sun, then it would be evaporated by now. So, where did that heat go?

Torch,

Honestly,

Let's start here. To see where we go off course.

Are you are going to deny CO2 is a greenhouse gas?

No, start here: what does equilibrium mean?
In a closed or open system?
Torch you are smarter than this. Now answer my question.

Does CO2 trap long wave radiation? Does more CO2 mean more long wave radiation stays within our system or less?

I'm not going down a rabbit trail b/c you have admitted you don't understand physics.

Does a higher temperature mean an object radiates away more heat?
When I see a thread with "Climate Models" in the title I always hope it will have pics of hot women. Get it....models....

Positive Rep me and I'll vote for Obama in 2016

Like Kate Upton in Antarctica?
Torch I know or I think you understand the greenhouse effect. What do you think happens to that extra trapped energy? Serious question? It's obvious that the models are missing something and it's obvious we are in an upward trajectory. Now it may not be the crisis some make it out to be, but you seem to be in straight denial mode. That's what I question.

You look at one thin slice of a complex system.

First, extra energy in, extra energy radiated away. We may be at a new equilibrium temperature (if there is a true "Earth's temperature"). Radiative emission increases with temp, w/ a functional dependence of T^4.

Second, a major area that needs to be understood better, and ultimately modeled better is cloud formation. If higher temps lead to higher water vapor, then it could very well be that more clouds will form, which reflects energy and reduces heating.

Those are just two of the areas that need further understanding.

Not in the past 17 years. That's one of the few facts that is really out there, and the catastrophists are trying to deny it.
Fair enough

Damned if that isn't a head scratcher.
The Suns radiation comes in a shorter wave form on the E M scale. It's reflected back in a longer waves that are then trapped.
The earth behaves as a closed system when it comes to mater an open system pertaining to energy.
