The individual mandate will be delayed one year per the bill that has passed the House. Will the Senate take the bait?

Did they repeal the congressional exemption too? Without that repeal I have 0 respect for anyone that voted for it.

Never mind

Quote:The new counterproposal would delay the health law's individual mandate by a year, and also prohibit members of Congress, their staffers and other officials from receiving additional government subsidies for their health care. That provision caused consternation among lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, with some reluctant to hurt their own staff by taking away additional subsidies for their health care costs

Works for me, win the war this battle might not be a win for the American people, but if the Republicans win the Senate and keep the house in 2014 Obama will have to play under different terms.
But Reid said this is a non starter.

Joe Machin said he would support this, wonder how many other democrats will break ranks? If republicans can pull together 51 votes Barry will have to sign this or look really bad. Dingy Harry will try every dirty trick to stop this.

My bet is NO.
The President should simply ignore the debt ceiling...

Of course. Do what you always do and get what you always get. Just be prepared for the consequences.

He's spent more money than all the presidents before him, so what would stop him now?
Killary Clinton & Joe Biden or Rand Paul & Ted Cruz 2016?

Seems to be the left is in a world of trouble. Ha. Going to sleep good tonight.
America voted for this guy again despite his horrific performance and stunning lack of leadership in his first term. The US citizens totally deserve whatever happens. ObamaCare will wreck the struggling economy but who gives a damn? Bend over and take it, America.

My guess is none of these will be their parties nominee in 2016.
