We wait until we get online.
The stuff that went on over there last year made everything I have seen here seem very tame.
Some of our coaches and players probably need to be booed. FBS football is not a sport where everyone gets a trophy and a pat on the back just for participating. The players and coaches NEED to feel bad when they play the way they did yesterday. If they are content playing this way, nothing is going to change.

The coaches are getting nice salaries for stinking it up......the players, not so much so. I won't boo the players......the effort seems to be there.
Coaches are paid what they are paid because of the "demand" of the coaching "market", not because they succeed. If they fail, then they may lose their jobs and their salary and be replaced by one with the same or better pay. UAB may replace its DC at the end of the year if the "wheels come off", but we will have to wait to see.

It may be that this staff was promised some program improvements (facilities?) to come from the current fund raising effort, and they just have not yet been delivered.

The "everyone gets a trophy" thing is for when kids all try their best and play for the fun of participation, not for winning. That does not persist into high school, much less college.

How will the fans let the players know they aren't being boo'ed? Seems to me a boo is a boo.

You don't boo your team, period. And the coaches are a part of the team.
According to Drew Champlin's article, Jimmy Jean ran that "reverse" on his first appearance in the game on offense. Do you think the FAU coaches failed to note that unusual change and to alert their players to watch out for some play using him? Yes, he bobbled the pitch, but the defense was on him immediately and only a fortunate bounce allowed us to retain possession.
